Keenan Allen has been one of the most productive fantasy wide receivers in the NFL this season. He's WR8 in PPR scoring formats coming into Week 8, but isn't 100 percent and draws a daunting matchup against the Chicago Bears this weekend.

Allen popped up on the Los Angeles Chargers' injury report on Wednesday, and head coach Anthony Lynn said he'd likely be limited Sunday, if he's even able to suit up.

It looks like Allen will be a true game-time decision, which is pretty much the worst-case scenario for his fantasy owners. While some might consider Allen too talented to bench, David Johnson's active no-show in Week 7 should be viewed as a cautionary tale.

Like Allen, Johnson was a game-time decision last week. He was ultimately ruled active, but was sidelined for the majority of the game, playing three snaps and recording just one carry.

It also doesn't help that the Bears have allowed the sixth-fewest points per game (PPG) in the NFL (17.5) and the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing WRs (23.65).

Entering the week, we had Allen at WR6 in our Week 8 fantasy football PPR rankings, but given the uncertainty surrounding his status, the Chargers wideout is best viewed as a boom-or-bust WR3 in Week 8.
