Just a few months ago, Kareem Hunt was viewed as one of the NFL's premier running backs. However, his reputation deservedly came crashing down after a video emerged of Hunt involved in a physical altercation with a woman. He was quickly released by the Kansas City Chiefs, and later suspended for the first eight games of the 2019 NFL regular season by the league.

Despite Hunt's reprehensible actions, the Cleveland Browns took a chance on him this offseason. Now it appears Hunt is going to some rather extreme lengths to redeem himself in this new chapter of his career in Cleveland.

While Hunt's career will never be viewed the same way, it's somewhat encouraging to see that he's making an apparent effort to change.

Whether or not this attempt to change will have a lasting effect remains to be seen. Given the NFL's checkered history of handling domestic violence issues, we can only hope this one handled with a bit more care than the league has displayed in the past.
