Justin Fields Throws Shade at Matt Nagy While Praising Bears' New Coaching Staff

Justin Fields' rookie year with the Chicago Bears went about as poorly as it possibly could've. Former head coach Matt Nagy clearly favored veteran Andy Dalton over Fields, but the Ohio State product was then thrust into a starting role when injuries struck and struggled due to the lack of support.
Now Fields is getting a fresh start with a staff specifically picked to help him grow. It's safe to say Fields is much happier with new HC Matt Eberflus and company in town.

Fields: "We’re kinda just trying to re-culture or getting the culture in the building. I don’t think our culture was the best culture last year."
Fields told FOX sports editor Ryan Gaydos "I don't think our culture was the best culture last year." The sophomore gunslinger said there's been major strides made in this regard that are already apparent under the new regime.
It's very clear that Fields is throwing some shade at his former head coach. Nagy was supposed to be the No. 1 leader in the locker room and cultivate an environment where everyone feels motivated to do their best, but he obviously fell short.
It sounds like Eberflus and co. are setting the right tone as they lead the charge of a new era. Hopefully that brings the best out of Fields and helps develop him into the franchise QB fans are hoping he can become.
