Julio Jones' first season with the Tennessee Titans hasn't gone as planned. Injuries have held the seven-time Pro-Bowler to just six games played in the 2021 NFL season. Fortunately, his latest injury update should provide optimism for both the Titans and fantasy managers alike.

Julio Jones Injury Update

The Titans announced Monday that Jones has been designated to return to practice following a stint on the injured reserve. The 32-year-old veteran hasn't played since Week 9 due to a hamstring injury.

With wide receiver A.J. Brown (chest) dealing with his own IR stint, fantasy managers should feel pretty optimistic about Jones' Week 14 fantasy outlook.

Julio Jones Fantasy Outlook

Before being placed on the IR, Jones was PRR's WR69 after Week 9. He was averaging just 9.1 fantasy points per game, which was a far cry from his days of being a top fantasy wideout.

Even coming off an injury, Jones is Tennessee's best pass-catching option as long as Brown is out of the lineup. He should see a decent share of Brown's 7.8 targets per game on top of the 5.2 Jones was seeing before his injury.

The Titans also have a more than favorable Week 14 matchup at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars. That's great news because the Jags are surrendering 31.1 fantasy PPG to wideouts (T-8th) and just gave up 290 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Even if Jones isn't as good as he once was, he should still be the focal point of Tennessee's offense with Brown and Derrick Henry sidelined. That alone should make him a WR2 with WR1 upside in Week 14.
