Former New England Patriots' wide receiver and fantasy football rollercoaster, Josh Gordon, has reportedly taken a new step in the right direction of his seemingly never-ending fantasy comeback tour this week.
Gordon has reportedly filed for reinstatement to the NFL after being slapped with an indefinite suspension for violating the terms of conditional reinstatement under the NFL drug policy.
Though it took a little while longer than some were expecting, Gordon proved he could still produce at a fantasy-relevant level with the New England Patriots down the stretch last season after being traded from the Cleveland Browns in September of 2018.
Gordon even seemed to be on the right path off the field with numerous reports of a growing and stronger relationship with Pats' QB Tom Brady. However, on Dec. 20, 2018, Gordon announced he would stepping away from football to focus on his mental health before facing his current suspension.
This report of his file for reinstatement has also surfaced shortly after photos of Gordon's impressive new physique took NFL fans by storm in June, as the veteran WR appears to be in game shape.
While this should in no way, shape, or form come across as a suggestion to go after Gordon in your upcoming 2019 fantasy football drafts, it's hard to forget about his kind of potential entirely, especially as he takes a proactive step toward rejoining the league.
