The Buffalo Bills pulled out a dramatic win over the Miami Dolphins to advance in the NFL playoffs on Sunday. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen made things a bit more difficult for his team, though, as his three total turnovers helped keep things closer than expected.

Despite the sloppy play, Allen was only focused on the end result after the contest.

The Pro Bowl QB channeled legendary college basketball coach Jim Valvano, saying "all that matters is surviving and advancing."

This is the perfect mindset to have after a game that won't be remembered as his cleanest performance. He'll watch the film and learn from the mistakes he made, just like all the greats do.

There's no point in harping on Allen's play too much when he was part of a lot of good in a winning effort, too. He racked up 352 passing yards and 3 touchdowns against Miami, regularly creating big gains just when momentum started to swing in the road team's direction.

The only thing that matters in the postseason is winning, and the Bills did that on Sunday. Even if it wasn't the prettiest, Buffalo not folding when its back was against the wall is a great sign from this Super Bowl hopeful.
