Jose Altuve's reaction said it all. The Houston Astros All-Star second baseman fell to the ground, throwing his helmet as his winced in pain. He was immediately taken out of the game after this apparent injury on Monday night.

Fortunately, the Astros seemed to have dodged the worst.

Manager Dusty Baker spoke to media after the game, simply calling Altuve's injury a left hamstring strain. He even designated his injury status as day-to-day.

The team will continue to monitor their MVP infielder on Tuesday. Considering the on-field reaction from Altuve, even missing a handful of games would be a huge sigh of relief. Below is video of the initial injury in the 8th inning of Monday night's contest.
