Jordan Love Weighs in on Aaron Rodgers and Packers' QB Situation

The Green Bay Packers' quarterback situation has already stirred some drama up early in the offseason, with questions about the starter going forward with veteran Aaron Rodgers and rookie Jordan Love waiting in the wings. Green Bay has seemingly no interest in trading Rodgers, so the Love era looks like it won't get underway any time soon.
Facing multiple years as a backup, Love recently weighed in on sitting behind Rodgers and the Packers' current QB situation.

Love appeared to say all the right things, pledging to put in the work so he's able to take over as the starter one day. But it's clear that the quarterback wants to be on the field, and that means this slight inconvenience has the potential to become a full-fledged problem sooner rather than later.
"The situation I'm in, they brought me in to learn as much as I can, and that's really all I can do. I don't make those calls; they do. Obviously, (like) anybody, you wanna be out there competing. The way I look at it, if I'm not ready to be out there, then I have to keep working."

Green Bay's use of a first-round pick on Love in the 2020 NFL Draft raised several questions heading into last season, with the team needing to give Rodgers more weapons than invest in his possible successor.
However, the Packers' GM appears to be playing the long game, hoping to set the franchise up for success post-Rodgers. Still, with the situation already creating tension, Green Bay might not be able to appease both Rodgers and Love.
