The New York Jets entered this 2021 offseason with the second-most available cap space in the NFL. With plenty of glaring holes needed to be fixed on both sides of the ball, the Jets had a ton of work to do, but the money to do it.

While questions remain about what the Jets will do at quarterback, their wide receiver group arguably needed the most help.

The Jets quickly addressed it by inking former Titans first round pick Corey Davis to a three-year deal. While many viewed this as the Jets fully addressing the position, it seems they may not be done adding star wide receivers.

As of Thursday morning, the Jets are reportedly in contact with former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster.

One interesting wrinkle here, going back to the Jets' quarterback discussion, is the fact that Sam Darnold was JuJu's college quarterback at USC. It's not known if this is a selling point for the Jets and JuJu in these talks, or if this is any indication how the Jets feel about Darnold and his future with the Jets, but it's certainly something to note.
