Jets Get Good News With Zach Wilson Injury Update
By Tyler Maher

The New York Jets got some good news on Monday, as quarterback Zach Wilson may be trending towards playing in Week 1.
Wilson, who underwent knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus suffered during a preseason game on Aug. 12, worked out on Monday. Depending on how his knee feels afterwards, he may be available to play in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Zach Wilson Injury Update
While this is only Wilson's second season in the NFL, he's no stranger to coming back from injury. Wilson missed four games last year with a knee injury in the middle of the season, which didn't appear to negatively impact his play much after he returned.
Jets fans are hopeful that Wilson can make a similarly smooth recovery from this injury as well, as the team's quarterback options beyond him are pretty bleak. If Wilson isn't able to suit up, New York is expected to start aging veteran Joe Flacco against his former team and the man who replaced him, Lamar Jackson.
Wilson's rookie year was rocky performance-wise, but the former second overall pick has a much higher ceiling than Flacco at this stage in their respective careers. Flacco, 37, is likely to be overmatched against his old coach and a team that knows all of his tendencies.
The Jets are currently 6.5-point home underdogs against the Ravens on FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 1 NFL odds, but those odds could shift a bit if Wilson is cleared to play.
