Jerry Jones Provides Worrying Amari Cooper Injury Update

The Dallas Cowboys managed to get into the win column for the first time this season with a 20-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Unfortunately, it's not all smiles heading into their Week 3 matchup now that four-time Pro Bowl wideout Amari Cooper is dealing with an injury (bruised ribs).
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones provided an injury update on Tuesday, however, things aren't looking too optimistic for Cooper's Week 3 status.
No update from Jerry Jones this morning on Cowboys WR Amari Cooper’s bruised ribs. “I don’t know today. I’m hopeful those ribs can get comfortable enough to play (Monday night).”

Amari Cooper Injury Update
Jones told reporters that there isn't any news on Cooper's recovery progress. He added that he hopes the talented wideout will be ready for a Monday Night Football clash against the Philadelphia Eagles.
" I don’t know today. I’m hopeful those ribs can get comfortable enough to play [Monday night]."
Cooper started the 2021 season off hot with a 13-catch performance that resulted in 139 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in the season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even though the Cowboys' won their second game, Cooper didn't have much of a presence, finishing the night with just three receptions for 24 yards.
Dallas already lost their No. 3 WR in Michael Gallup for the next few weeks, so having the rest of their pass-catching core avoiding injuries is a must.
Even without Cooper, the Cowboys are expected to beat the Eagles on Monday. Dallas is currently the 3.5 -point betting favorite at home, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
