The Philadelphia Phillies seem to have a quick hook as they've optioned starting pitcher Nick Pivetta to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after just four starts this season. Jerad Eickhoff will replace him in the Phillies' rotation and will get the start against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.
While Eickhoff hasn't allowed an earned run in his 4 innings pitched this season, the right-hander has a career 18-26 record to go along with a 3.87 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. While he'll be backed by a potent Phillies offense, Eickhoff is nothing more than a streaming option when he lines up with a favorable matchup in fantasy baseball.
And that will not be the case in his first start this coming Sunday. Eickhoff will take the mound at Coors Field, where he's made two appearances, including his first career start, while allowing nine runs in 6 2/3 innings pitched for a whopping 12.79 ERA.
If Eickhoff sticks in the Phillies' rotation, he's a name to keep an eye on when scouring your fantasy league's waiver wire. But avoid him come Sunday.
