The Utah Jazz are caught in the middle of a tough playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers after dropping Game 3 on Saturday night. Jazz fans grew a bit concerned during the fourth quarter when they saw star Donovan Mitchell head back to the locker room with an ankle injury.

Although Mitchell did not return to the game, he seems to be fine and says he will be ready to go for Game 4 on Monday.

Jazz News

This is great news as the Jazz lost the only playoff game in which Mitchell was out due to injury back in Round 1. He is the star of the team averaging 32.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists so far in the 2021 postseason.

The two-time All-Star was simply being cautious by sitting out the rest of Game 3. He was available to return, but the game quickly got out of reach by the middle of the fourth quarter.

It's necessary to point out that ankle injuries have been a problem for Mitchell, who missed the final 16 games of the regular season due to a right ankle sprain. However, there seems to be no reason to worry in this situation as Utah's leading scorer has showed he will do whatever it takes to be on the court with his teammates.

The Jazz will look to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series when Game 4 tips off on Monday night. Utah is currently a +172 underdog in that matchup and has odds set at +350 to win the NBA Championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
