The Miami Dolphins' COVID-19 issues continue to put the roster in flux ahead of Week 15. Jaylen Waddle has now been placed on the COVID reserve list, which could sideline him for Sunday's contest.

Jaylen Waddle Injury Update

This update on Waddle could shake things up within the Dolphins offense for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Outlook

Waddle is believed to be vaccinated, which would mean he needs two negative tests 24 hours apart and to be symptom-free in order to play.

It's a tight window that leaves no room for any COVID-related setbacks, so the rookie may be forced to sit in Week 15.

DeVante Parker Fantasy Outlook

DeVante Parker could become the Dolphins' clear WR1 if Waddle is out.

He didn't miss a beat in his return from injury in Week 13, hauling in each of his 5 targets for 62 yards. Parker averaged 8.6 targets, 5.0 receptions and 65.4 yards over his first five games played, operating as the top pass-catcher before Waddle's emergence.

Parker could return to those heights again in Week 15. He draws a very exploitable matchup in the New York Jets, who are susceptible to big plays and allowing the sixth-most passing yards per game.

Albert Wilson Fantasy Outlook

Albert Wilson would be the likely candidate to take on Waddle's role as an underneath safety valve for Tua Tagovailoa.

Waddle has an average depth of target (aDOT) of just 7.3 yards this season, operating primarily in the middle of the field while Parker stretches the secondary. Wilson has seen similar work with an aDOT of 4.4 so far.

Wilson's involvement within the offense has also been on the rise, averaging 5.8 targets, 4.0 receptions and 37.0 yards per game over the last four contests. That pales in comparison to the 1.8/1.0/7.0 line he posted over the first eight games of 2021.

Waddle would leave behind a ton of volume (8.8 targets per game) that's ripe for the taking. If Wilson absorbs most of that work, he could be a FLEX option for managers to begin the fantasy playoffs.
