Jamal Adams looked poised to be one of the best New York Jets' defenders in recent memory. Unfortunately, his relationship with the organization soured quickly, ultimately ending in a trade request that sent him to the Seattle Seahawks prior to the 2020 season.

Never one to hold back, Adams shed some light on his feelings about the whole situation, taking a huge shot at his former head coach, Adam Gase, in the process.

We had a solid relationship. I don't hate Adam Gase, I have no problem with Adam Gase, I just didn't feel he handled certain situations well as a head coach... And that's just my opinion, everybody is entitled to their opinion, right?

To Adams' credit, he didn't completely throw Gase under the bus here. But it's clear he had problems with how Gase ran the team. He's certainly not alone in that regard.

Adams has a chance to exact some revenge on his former team in Week 14, as the Jets travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks. The safety actually leads Seattle in sacks (7.5) despite playing just eight games on the year. Expect Adams to come after Sam Darnold early and often on Sunday to send a message to his former coach.
