Jamal Adams Opens Up About Struggles With the Jets

Safety Jamal Adams was at the center of an ugly split with his former team, the New York Jets, during this past offseason. Tension between Adams and the Jets grew over months of frustration on both sides. The drama ended in late July when the Jets traded him to the Seattle Seahawks.
Adams recently opened up about his experience with the Jets, saying that he "fought depression" while in New York.

The Jets struggled during Adams' tenure, going just 16-32 during those three years. The safety said that losing "took a toll on my life outside of football."
Adams is already enjoying success with the Seahawks, who are 6-3 and in a three-way tie for first in the NFC West. While the safety has only suited up in 5 games so far, he's making his presence felt with 5.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
Adams called Seattle a "dream" in comparison to playing for the Jets. His former team is currently the only winless team in the NFL this season at 0-9.
