The Jaguars suffered yet another disappointing loss on Sunday to the Russell Wilson-less Seattle Seahawks and now sit at 1-6 on the season. However, things could have been much worse than just losing one game. It was announced on Sunday that starting running back James Robinson had suffered a bruised heel, but the extent of the injury wasn't known.

James Robinson Injury Update

Following some tests on Monday morning, Jaguars fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Results revealed that Robinson voided a major injury and is expected to carry a day-to-day status moving forward.

Despite all of the Jaguars struggles as a team, Robinson has been enjoying a really solid season, already racking up 482 yards and 5 touchdowns in 7 games, all while averaging an impressive 5.5 yards per carry, a full yard more than last season when he rushed for 1,070 yards in just 14 games.

After losing their rookie running back Travis Etienne for the season in training camp, losing Robinson would have been a crushing blow to an already depleted offense. An offense that is trying to build and grow around highly-touted rookie QB Trevor Lawrence.

Robinson's status for Week 9 remains in question, so it's certainly something to keep an eye out for as the week progresses. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Jaguars as 14-point home underdogs in a matchup against the Super Bowl-contending Buffalo Bills.
