As Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson works his way back from his 11-game suspension, he was finally able to practice with his team for the first time on Wednesday.
Backup QB Jacoby Brissett has done an admirable job filling in during Watson's absence, but he knows the clock is ticking on his time as the starter.
Deshaun Watson Practice
Brissett was asked if it will be good to have Watson back at practice and he delivered a hilarious response, sarcastically quipping "if it's bad, we'll tell him to stay in for the rest of it."
This got an immediate chuckle from every media member as Brissett did his best to make light of an uncomfortable situation given the reasoning behind Watson's suspension in the first place.
In the meantime, Brissett is focused on trying to keep the 3-6 Browns in contention until Watson returns. Unfortunately, that won't be easy for Cleveland as the team has a tough road matchup in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills. The Browns are currently listed as 7.5-point underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds in a game that could be severely impacted by weather.
