The NFL just approved the Kansas City Chiefs' motion to expand the use of single-digit jersey numbers. The new normal will take some getting used to, but it should allow skill-position players to rock some exciting new jerseys.

One wide receiver who seems excited about the change is LSU Tigers incoming rookie Ja'Marr Chase, who took to Twitter to reveal his preferred number.

It sounds like Chase will be eyeing No. 1 when he gets to the league. It's a fitting choice.

Chase dominated at LSU in that jersey, racking up 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns the last time he touched the field in 2019.

He's also almost certainly going to be the first wide receiver off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft. FanDuel Sportsbook currently lists him as a -950 favorite to be the first wide receiver drafted.

That No. 1 jersey is fitting on a lot of levels, regardless of which team Chase ends up with in the draft.
