JJ Watt Free Agent Contract Projection

Teams mentioned to be in the running to sign Watt include the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills. It may simply come down to who can offer the most money while also having obvious Super Bowl potential.

An average yearly earning of $15-16 million would rank Watt within the top 10 highest paid defensive ends in the league. The 5-time All-Pro player has 101 sacks in his career and tallied 52 combined tackles during the 2020 season. Adding him would greatly improve any team's defensive line.

Knowing of his current contract projections could allow NFL teams to jump into the mix, However, it could also make others bow out due to the whole idea being too expensive. Nevertheless, this is a storyline worth keeping up with throughout the offseason as the Watt signing is sure to be an exciting event.
