UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya will defend his title against Robert Whittaker in the main event of UFC 271 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX on Saturday, Feb. 12. The bout is a rematch of their UFC 243 meeting.

While the pay-per-view is nearly two months away, that hasn't stopped oddsmakers from releasing opening odds for the initial card.

Here's a look at FanDuel Sportsbook's opening odds for the Adesanya-Whittaker UFC 271 main event.

Adesanya vs Whittaker UFC 271 Odds

FanDuel Sportsbook is listing Adesanya as the clear-cut favorite, giving him -215 odds to retain his middleweight champion. Meanwhile, Whittaker is the +180 underdog to leave Houston as the new titleholder.

Fans have been anticipating this rematch since Adesanya defeated Whittaker for the unified UFC Middleweight Champion at UFC 243 back in October 2019. The champion has successfully defended his title three times since then, with his most recent defense ending via unanimous decision over Marvin Vettori at UFC 263.

Meanwhile, Whittaker has worked hard to bounce back from that UFC 243 loss. He's won each of his three fights since then, with each of those victories coming via unanimous decision.

Both fighters have accomplished a lot since the last time they met, so only time will tell whether history will repeat itself at UFC 271 in February.
