Is Rudy Gobert Playing Tonight? Latest Update on Suspension for Wolves vs Lakers on April 11

The Minnesota Timberwolves are gearing up an all-important NBA Play-In Tournament game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. One of the biggest stories ahead of tip-off is the availability of center Rudy Gobert, who had an on-court incident with teammate Kyle Anderson last time out.

Rudy Gobert Suspension Update (4/11/2023)

Gobert has officially been handed a one-game suspension by the Timberwolves, which means he's out for Tuesday's contest versus the Lakers. This punishment came after Gobert punched Anderson in the chest during the team's regular-season finale.

This certainly is a blow to the Wolves' lineup, leaving a massive hole in the paint with the 7-foot-1 Frenchman sidelined.

The front office spent a ton of capital this offseason to bring the three-time Defensive Player of the Year to Minnesota, though the trade hasn't quite elevated this roster as hoped. Gobert suffered drop-offs in points and rebounds per game during his first season with the Wolves, who landed right back in the play-in tournament for the second straight year despite the addition the three-time all star.
