Is Jalen Brunson Playing Today? (Latest Injury Updates and News for Knicks vs Heat Game 5)

The New York Knicks and Miami Heat are ready to engage in Game 5 of their second-round series on Wednesday, May 10. In what is a pivotal game for both sides, many basketball enthusiasts are wondering if Knicks guard Jalen Brunson is healthy enough to suit up due to an ankle injury that he's been dealing with.
Jalen Brunson Game 5 Injury Update
Although Brunson has been receiving "around the clock treatment" on his ankle (per SportsNet New York), all signs point to his suiting up against the Heat. The only player on the Knicks' injury report as of Wednesday morning is Immanuel Quickley (ankle), who'll be a game-time decision.
Sources tell @IanBegley that Jalen Brunson has been receiving treatment "basically around the clock" for his foot/ankle injury.

The news is great for Knicks fans considering how important Brunson is to the franchise. The ankle injury isn't anything new, though. It left Brunson questionable to suit up in Game 2 and even though he wound up playing, SportsNet New York's Ian Begley reported that the Heat were shocked he was healthy enough to play.
Despite his ankle being banged up, the 26-year-old has yet to miss any of New York's previous nine postseason contents. Brunson has been his team's best player as well, packing all Knicks in both points (25.2) and assists (5.8) while adding 4.6 rebounds per game during their playoff run.

Even if he isn't 100%, the Knicks need Brunson to play if they want to stay alive. They're facing a 3-1 series deficit in Game 5 and have lost the last two games that he's missed. Even if he's only present to take attention away from other players, New York will be better for it.
