We're about a 1.5 months into the 2021 MLB season and the Cleveland Indians are one of the best teams in the majors. They're 21-14 and have won nine of their last 10 games, including their most recent four in a row. Despite their recent superb play, the Indians still have their doubters.

ESPN has ranked Cleveland as the No. 12 team in their latest MLB power rankings. While that seems like pretty good positioning, it's not once you consider how that's only a two-spot increase since last week. For a team that's only lost three times since April 25, the Indians' new ranking is nothing short of disrespectful.

Indians News: Disrespected in ESPN MLB Power Rankings

While ESPN's latest power rankings are disrespectful to the Indians, it gets worse. Cleveland is just one game back of the Chicago White Sox for the top spot in the AL Central, however, ESPN ranked Chicago at top spot in the power rankings. The divisional rivals have even played each other eight times so far this season, splitting the series at four games apiece. With how evenly matched they've been, you might think that the Indians would be ranked closer to the White Sox.

As it stands, the Indians are one of the best teams when it comes to limiting their opponents' offensive opportunities this season. Opposing teams are scoring just 3.60 runs per game (5th) on a measly .213 batting average (T-5th) against Cleveland. Starting pitcher Aaron Civale highlights the pitching staff with a perfect 5-0 record on the season and 2.91 ERA.

The disrespect doesn't stop there, though. FanDuel Sportsbook has given the Indians +3600 odds to win the World Series, which ranks 17th across the MLB. If the Indians continue to play as they have been, they'll be forcing the doubters to eat their words in no time.
