The Las Vegas Raiders are off to a promising start in their inaugural season as the NFL franchise of Las Vegas in 2020.
While they sit 7-6 and a little far from a commanding position to make the postseason this year, they're still not eliminated from playoff contention just yet following an ugly 44-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14.
Raiders Playoff Requirements
First thing's first, the Raiders must win out in their final three games. Those three matchups include home bouts with the 4-9 Los Angeles Chargers and 8-5 Miami Dolphins, before going on the road to face the 5-8 Denver Broncos to close out the season in Week 17.
If the Raiders can finish 10-6, then they're most likely going to need some help from the Baltimore Ravens in the form of dropping what should a favored ball game in each of their remaining three matchups.
The Ravens close out the season with quite the advantageous ending, featuring home bouts against the 1-12 Jacksonville Jaguars and 5-8 New York Giants before finishing the season on the road against the 2-10-1 Cincinnati Bengals.
However, there's always a chance the Dolphins or 9-4 Colts lose out and create a little more room for the Raiders to get in without relying on the Ravens as well, it's just more unlikely.
It's certainly going to be a tall task, even with winning out, but the key here is that there's still a chance for Raiders' nation!
