The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the best teams in the league this season. With their 12-1 record, they currently stand atop the AFC West, the conference as a whole, and the league, too. The Pittsburgh Steelers (11-2) and Buffalo Bills (10-3) remain in the hunt for the No. 1 seed, but Kansas City controls their own destiny.

Here's how the Chiefs can clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC in Week 15.

A win by Kansas City against the New Orleans Saints would put them in prime position to earn the top seed. Losses by the Steelers (who play the Cincinnati Bengals this week) and Bills (who play the Denver Broncos) will clinch the No. 1 seed for the Chiefs and a crucial first-round bye with two games remaining in the regular season.

The NFL Playoffs format was changed heading into this year, bumping the number of postseason teams up from six to seven. With an additional team making the playoffs, there is now just one bye available in each conference instead of two. The Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, both with 10-3 records, are currently vying for the No. 1 seed and bye in the NFC.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 15 NFL odds, the Chiefs are 3-point favorites against the Saints, the Steelers are 12.5-point favorites over the Bengals, and the Bills are 6.5-point favorites over the Broncos.

Even if Kansas City doesn't clinch the No. 1 seed this week, they'll still be in the driver's seat with a win against New Orleans.
