Harrison Smith Announces Vikings Return With Amazing Instagram Post

Free agency has featured the departure of several longtime Minnesota Vikings players as the team refocuses its roster. One key member expected to exit this offseason was safety Harrison Smith after 11 seasons in Minnesota.
However, the Vikings have now agreed to a reworked deal to bring their star safety back. He announced his return with an amazing post to his Instagram story on Thursday.

Smith used a picture of Minnesota legend Prince to reveal he's coming back for the 2023 campaign. Given the importance of the late singer to the area, this is the perfect way to show his appreciation for the place he's called home since entering the league in 2012.
The six-time Pro Bowler has officially agreed to a restructured contract that will see him make $8 million this season, plus a chance to earn another $2 million in incentives.

This is the ultimate win-win. Smith doesn't have to worry about moving for the first time ever in his career, and the Vikings get back a core piece of their defense back at a reduced salary.
Now both sides can focus solely on attacking the 2023 campaign together. Smith will look to replicate the 5 interceptions and 10 pass breakups he posted while helping the team win 13 games this past season.
