Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans breathed a collective sigh of relief when Tom Brady came out of his brief retirement earlier this offseason. With many returning players and new faces on board, the Bucs look to remain a force heading into the 2022 NFL season.

The good news is that success is achievable thanks to the Buccaneers having the 11th-easiest 2022 schedule, according to ESPN's Mike Clay. Even with that being the case, though, some of their opponents will surely give them a run for their money.

Here's a look at the three hardest games on the Buccaneers' schedule in 2022.

1. vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Fans are looking forward to a Super Bowl LV rematch as the Buccaneers are set to host the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022. Even though Tampa was victorious in that meeting, the Chiefs have actually had Brady's number for a while now as the four-time NFL MVP is 1-4 in his last five starts against Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes will be looking to defeat Brady in what could be their final head-to-head matchup, meaning the former will likely give us all to solidify himself as the league's top QB. In what's likely to be a high-scoring affair, time will tell if the Bucs have what it takes to beat the Chiefs again.

2. vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams is another team that the Buccaneers have had issues with, losing eight of the last nine matchups. Furthermore, the Bucs are 0-3 against the Rams in the Brady era, with the most recent loss coming during the 2021-22 NFC Divisional Round. Los Angeles proved its worth last season by going on to win Super Bowl LVI, making this a matchup between the two most recent champions. The Buccaneers will need the win to re-establish themselves atop the conference, but it'll be easier said than done against a well-rounded Rams squad.

3. vs. Green Bay Packers

Everyone loves a good Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers matchup and that's what fans will get when the Bucs meet the Green Bay Packers next season. The last time we saw Tampa Bay, the secondary surrendered nearly 300 passing yards per game in the playoffs. One could only assume that Rodgers is licking his lips at that prospect, especially after throwing for 4,100-plus yards and 37 touchdowns in 2021. Even though Brady has won four of his last five games against the Packers, Green Bay is always one of the toughest teams to beat every year and 2022 should be no different.
