The Cincinnati Bengals' future appears to be bright. They selected quarterback Joe Burrow No.1 overall in the NFL Draft this April and just signed the young, talented running back Joe Mixon to a new four-year contract.

However, the only way to get the No. 1 overall pick in the draft is to be a bad football team, and that's exactly what the Bengals were in 2019. Finishing the season with a 2-14 record, the Bengals had a ton of holes to fill.

Running back was not one of those holes. With Mixon as a top-tier back and a serviceable backup in Giovani Bernard, they should be set there for years to come. Bernard has been with Cincinnati since 2013, and he was asked about what it was like going through a season like that. He had an honest and hilarious response.

Doesn't get more blunt than that. The reporter was surely looking for more, but Bernard gave it them straight, simple and honest.

At the end of the day, that's all you can really ask for.
