Giovani Bernard Could Be 2019 Fantasy Football Sleeper Behind Joe Mixon
By Zach Brunner

After being a great RB2 or flex option in PPR fantasy football leagues for years, Giovani Bernard was forgotten last season. However, if what The Athletic's Paul Dehner says is true, Bernard may be the fantasy sleeper we need.

Last season, Bernard averaged a career-low 7.6 touches per game. Dehner believes that number will rise back up to around 11-13 weekly touches, which would put him back on the fantasy FLEX radar.
The Bengals finally made a switch at head coach, bringing in the offensive-minded Zac Taylor to revitalize this offense. As a result of this, Dehner believes we will be seeing Bernard and Joe Mixon share the field a lot more.

Bernard averages 4.2 yards per carry and 8.6 yards per reception for his career. While 11-13 touches may be a bit ambitious, it is certainly possible and makes for an intriguing situation to watch when training camp begins.
