Aaron Judge is going to be a free agent this winter, and the New York Yankees are going to have some serious competition if they want to keep him.

The latest reports indicate that the San Francisco Giants are all-in on Judge and willing to break the bank for him.

Aaron Judge Free Agency Rumors

The Giants are motivated to sign Judge after finishing 2022 in third place in the NL West at 81-81, eight games behind the San Diego Padres and a whopping 30 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. Judge can't make up that difference all by himself, but it's a good start.

Joining San Francisco would also be a homecoming of sorts for Judge -- a California native who went to college at Fresno State. After seven seasons playing on the opposite side of the country in New York, he might be looking to return to his roots.

The Giants will have to compete with the Yankees (and likely other teams as well) in a major bidding war for Judge's services, however. The expectant AL MVP is coming off a historic campaign in which he set the American League single-season home run record with 62, setting him up for a massive payday this offseason. New York will likely match or exceed any offer Judge receives, so San Francisco better be ready to pony up.

Regardless of where he ends up, Judge is going to be a very rich man.
