There's something going on between the San Francisco Giants and Seattle Mariners. Both teams are going to be investigated for collusion if they're not careful.

Joking aside, the Giants and Mariners are at it again with another trade reported on Thursday afternoon. This may be the strangest trade the two sides have made yet, swapping infielder Mike Ford back to the Mariners for cash considerations.

To put this into perspective, this is the fourth infielder the sides have traded in a month and second in as many days.

Mike Ford Mariners

Mariners-Giants Trade

Ford was previously traded from the Mariners to the Giants on April 30. Less than two weeks later, he's back in Seattle (for cash considerations). As Giants insider Alex Pavlovic hilariously pointed out, it's unclear which team came out with more cash in the deal.

A former New York Yankee first baseman, Ford saw MLB action in just one game for the Giants. He went 1-for-4, but drove in a pair of RBIs.

Below is a full summary of the Mariners and Giants' recent trades.

- April 26: San Francisco acquires Kevin Padlo from Mariners for cash considerations.
- April 30:
San Francisco acquires Mike Ford from Mariners for cash considerations.
- May 11:
San Francisco acquires Donovan Walton from Mariners for Prelander Berroa.
- May 12:
Seattle acquires Mike Ford from Giants for cash considerations.
