Giannis Joins Impressive Company With Historic Scoring Streak

LeBron James isn't the only one chasing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar these days.
While the Los Angeles Lakers star continues his assault on Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record, Giannis Antetokounmpo has already caught Kareem for a different record.

Milwaukee Bucks News
After dropping 35 points against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, Giannis has now scored at least 30 points in eight straight games. Since the Bucks were founded in 1968-69, Abdul-Jabbar is the only other player in franchise history to accomplish that.
Antetokounmpo will look to extend that streak on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks, although it won't be easy. Dallas boasts one of the stingiest defenses in the NBA, yielding the fourth-fewest points per game (108.7) in the league this year.
The two-time MVP's recent scoring surge has had a positive impact on the Bucks, helping them go 6-2 during his streak. His scoring average is now up to a career-best 32.1 points per game, which has helped him earn the second-best MVP odds (+290) on FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds behind Boston's Jayson Tatum (+280) as of Thursday.
