The Milwaukee Bucks are just hours away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 1974. But few Bucks fans can even focus on tonight's 9 p.m. tip-off, as superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo's status for Game 1 remains up in the air.
Giannis hasn't played since going down in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks. But, Milwaukee finally got a bit of good news on that front Tuesday afternoon, as the two-time MVP has been upgraded from "doubtful" to "questionable" for Game 1.
Unsurprisingly, this news has already impacted the betting markets.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Injury Update
Prior to this news, the Bucks were a 6.5-point underdog. With Giannis potentially trending toward a return, Milwaukee has jumped up to being a 5.5-point dog. If his return becomes official, you have to think the line will continue to move in the Bucks' favor.
Giannis is averaging 28.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game this postseason. Getting that level of production back would be huge for Milwaukee as it looks to steal Game 1 on the road against the Phoenix Suns.
