Past the quarter mark of the NBA regular season, Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to make his case for why he should be the repeat NBA MVP, improving his odds to +145 to win the award, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Milwaukee Bucks are currently on a league-best 16-game winning streak, and much of this success can be credited to the reigning MVP. Giannis is averaging 30.9 points, 13.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.
However, the most impressive and dangerous aspect of Giannis' game this season is his improved 3-point shooting, averaging a career-high 1.6 made 3-point shots per game and hitting on 31.9 percent of his shots from long range.
Also making a strong case for MVP is Luka Doncic (+430), who has been dominant for the Dallas Mavericks. The second-year guard is averaging 30.4 points, 9.9 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season. The only knock to Luka's game is his turnovers (4.5 per game), but it is to be expected from a young player with as high of a usage rate as Luka has.
Rounding out the top five in odds to win the NBA MVP is James Harden (+460), LeBron James (+550) and Anthony Davis (+750).
