George Kittle Injury Update Improves Week 12 Fantasy Football Value

The San Francisco 49ers are expected to have their All-Pro tight end return in Week 12, as George Kittle is listed as questionable, but is ultimately expected to suit up against the Green Bay Packers.

Kittle has missed the last two games with a knee injury, but his return should really help San Francisco's offense. With Emmanuel Sanders and Deebo Samuel also both expected to suit up, Jimmy Garoppolo will have his full complement of weapons for the first time in the last few weeks.

Kittle had been heavily involved in the offense prior to his injury, with 57 targets through eight games, but has only scored two touchdowns on the season while only surpassing the 100-yard mark once.

Last year, Kittle was third among his position with 136 targets and broke the NFL single-season record for tight end receiving yards with 1,377.

Awaiting Kittle in Week 12 is a matchup with a Packers' defense that gives up the fourth most fantasy points to tight ends. Considering Green Bay has been very stingy against wide receivers, allowing the ninth-fewest PPR points to the position, Kittle is in a great spot to produce here.

For Kittle owners out there, it would be wise to have a backup waiting in the wings in case he's a surprise inactive. His understudy on the 49ers, Ross Dwelley, would make for a solid replacement and is currently owned in just 12 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues.
