Gardner Minshew Fantasy Value Skyrockets After Officially Regaining Starting QB Job for Jaguars Prior to Week 14
By Max Staley

Minshew Mania is officially back. After Nick Foles struggled in his three starts after returning from a collar bone injury, Gardner Minshew II is officially the starting QB again in Jacksonville.
Of course, this move will once again make Minshew fantasy relevant, and erases any fantasy value that Foles had.
Now official: Mustaches are cool again, as #Jaguars coach Doug Marrone announces Gardner Minshew is once again their starting QB. Nick Foles will backup.

This move isn't entirely unexpected. Foles' 6.0 adjusted yards per pass attempt would've put him 33rd at the position had he thrown enough passes to qualify – ahead of only Mitchell Trubisky and Mason Rudolph. Minshew, on the other hand, ranks 15th in that category at 7.4.
This move shouldn't impact the Jaguars' skill-position players much, but could be a slight boost to their respective fantasy outlooks. Minshew takes on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14, and while he doesn't quite crack the top-12 QBs in our Week 14 fantasy football rankings, he is a must start in 2QB leagues.

The Jaguars' Week 15 (Oakland Raiders) and Week 16 (Atlanta Falcons) matchups are both top-5 plays for the QB position, making Minshew a quality speculative add for teams that have already qualified for the fantasy football playoffs.
