Free-Agent QB States Desire to Play for Packers

The Green Bay Packers have a lot to figure out when it comes to the quarterback position. For now, it revolves entirely around Aaron Rodgers and his future, with or without the Packers.
Rodgers can either decide to stay in Green Bay, he can retire, or he can request the Packers trade him to an other team, which they are expected to oblige, if it were to come to that.
However, one free-agent QB is already looking toward a potential landing spot in Green Bay. Former Washington Commanders QB Taylor Heinicke said recently in an interview on the Pat McAfee Show that he'd love to play for the Packers, which would fulfill a childhood dream of his.

Heinicke realizes that if Rodgers stays, he would certainly only have a chance to be the backup in Green Bay, and even that might be tricky with Jordan Love still in town. Even if Rodgers leaves, you'd figure they would want to give Love a shot as the starter, but that's not stopping Heinicke from giving his own recruiting pitch publicly.
Anytime you sign or trade for a player, the hope is that he really genuinely wants to be with your organization. At least now the Packers know that if they ever considered bringing in Heinicke, he absolutely wants to be in Green Bay.
