The four players who the Cardinals cut on Monday are as follows:
- Fourth-year running back Ito Smith
- Fourth-year defensive tackle Darius Kilgo
- 2020 undrafted wideouts JoJo Ward and Aleva Hifo

Out of the released names, Smith's is the most notable one. The 25-year-old was signed by the Cardinals on Aug. 7 in hopes that he could be the team's third-string running back.

However, 2020 seventh-round selection Eno Benjamin has been turning heads throughout training camp and may have stolen Smith's spot after rushing for 50 yards and a touchdown on five attempts in Sunday's preseason victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Ward and Hifo barely made an impact during Arizona's first preseason game and were expendable after having yet to play a regular season contest. Kilgo, meanwhile, hasn't played a meaningful NFL game since 2018 after spending the last few seasons on various practice squads.
