Fantasy Golf Picks for WGC FedEx St. Jude's Invitational

Now that golf's four majors in 2019 are in the books, players on the PGA Tour will shift their focus to the FedExCup Playoffs. This week, golf's stretch run begins with the WGC FedEx St. Jude's Invitational, which tees off on Thursday, July 25.
With a group of participants loaded with big names, this tournament could shape up to be one of the more exciting ones in the final few months of the season.
Let's take a look at some golfers to watch out for when building your fantasy lineup this week.

Dustin Johnson
Johnson has had a quiet year so far in 2019 by his standards. He was the runner-up in both the Masters and the PGA Championship, but only has one win on the season. Although, that one win did come at another WGC event, the WGC-Mexico Championship. Johnson won on this course last season and also won here in 2012 in his first career appearance. He's won five WGC events overall and coming back to a place he's clearly comfortable at could spell good things for DJ.
Jon Rahm
Rahm was in contention for much of the British Open last week at Royal Portrush, but ultimately fizzled out and lost steam, finishing T-11. In his last two events prior to that, he finished third in the Irish Open and T-3 at the U.S. Open. While Rahm has never played this course, a number of other top names haven't either. His recent play shows he's playing great golf and could be on the cusp of raising a trophy.

Tony Finau
Finau once again delivered an inspired performance at a major, finishing in third at Royal Portrush. He has now placed in the top three twice in his last six starts. Finau doesn't have a win yet this season, but he does have four top-10 finishes. Playing at over 7,200 yards, TPC Southwind should be a little easier to navigate for bigger hitters like Finau, who ranks eighth on the tour in driving distance.
