Last week was a big one for dark horses in fantasy golf. Andrew Landry won The American Express after not even making a cut since September, 2019.

Finishes like that are unusual, though, and that's what makes those golfers dark horses. The top fantasy golf picks generally come from the strongest golfers in a given field, and this week's Farmers Insurance Open gives us no shortage of options to pick from.

With that in mind, here are three of this week's best fantasy golf picks.

Justin Rose
Justin Rose has absolutely dominated at Torrey Pines' South course over the last few years. If you put faith in his T4 from 2017 and T8 from 2018 ahead of last year's event, you were handsomely rewarded when he took home first place. He's also coming off a T5 in his last event, when he shot 13-under at the Hero World Challenge in December. Look for Rose to keep rolling this week.

Jason Day
This will be Jason Day's first tour event since he withdrew from the Presidents Cup with an injury. Day took home the win here in both 2015 and 2018, and he made a push when Rose won last year, finishing T5. It's hard to tell what kind of form Day will be in for his return, but this is as good a course as any for him to bounce back at full strength.

Tony Finau
With this being the longest course on the Tour, it helps to be able to crush the ball off the tee, which Tony Finau is certainly capable of. He ranks 12th in average drive distance this season, and he finished ninth in that stat last season. He also checks in at 15th in strokes gained: off the tee this Tour season, as well as second in strokes gained: tee-to-green. His shaky putting will always make him a volatile fantasy play, but he's got some undeniable upside, and this course gives him a great chance to show that off, as he's done with top-25 finishes in each of the last five years (including two top-10s).
