For many people still alive in the fantasy baseball playoffs, the upcoming weekend will determine who is crowned champion. It will be vital that any pickup you make propels you to success, whether it's grabbing a hot bat or one the weekend's best streaming pitcher options.

Luckily, there are some enticing options available in the majority of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues that fill several needs. Here are five pickups for the weekend that can help you take home a fantasy title.

5. Harrison Bader, OF, St. Louis Cardinals

Harrison Bader was a somewhat buzzy deep league sleeper before the season, but a combination of injuries and poor play has limited him to only 313 MLB at-bats this season. While the jury is still out on his as a hitter, Bader is back to playing basically every day for the NL Central-leading St. Louis Cardinals, and could be an asset in a very important, yet hard to attain fantasy stat this weekend – stolen bases. Bader has four swipes in his last 12 games, to go with three homers over that span. As far as power/speed combos go, Bader may be the best option out there, owned in 21 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

4. Garrett Hampson, 2B/SS/OF, Colorado Rockies

The bad news about Garrett Hampson this weekend is that he won't be playing his games at Coors Field. The good news is that the preseason draft darling is finally starting to put it together, with a .356/.408/.511 batting line in September. Hampson only has one homer this month, but has stolen five bags in just 45 at-bats. For those needing a speed jolt in their matchup, especially at the middle infield spots, Hampson is looking like a very attractive option if he can ride his hot hitting into the weekend against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is available in 84 percent of Y! leagues.

3. Randal Grichuck, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

If it's power you crave this weekend, Randal Grichuck is probably the pickup you need to make. Always oozing with potential but struggling to get a full season of at-bats, Grichuck has now reached the first 30-homer season of his career. He has been particularly hot in September, with seven homers through 60 at-bats, good for a .683 slugging percentage. Grichuck has homered five times in his last six games, including a game-winning grand slam against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. He will get to hit in the homer-friendly confines of Yankee Stadium this weekend, and is available in 68 percent of Y! leagues.

2. Dylan Cease, SP, Chicago White Sox

The most you can hope for when streaming a pitcher at this point in the season is that he is facing a bad offense. It doesn't get any worse than the Detroit Tigers, who average an MLB-low 3.69 runs per game. There are a pair of streamable pitchers you can use to attack this prime matchup, the first being Chicago White Sox rookie Dylan Cease. After a rocky start to his career, Cease has continued to improve with every start, as he has a 3.60 ERA in three September starts. He is also a solid source of strikeouts, with 73 Ks through his first 67 big-league innings. Cease is owned in just 17 percent of Y! leagues.

1. Reynaldo Lopez, SP, Chicago White Sox

Piggybacking on the Cease is Reynaldo Lopez, who is slated to pitch the series finale on Sunday in Detroit. Lopez looked like a pitcher finally reaching his long-awaited potential in July, finishing the month with a 3.41 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. Things have not gone too well in the two months since, but Lopez has still shown some flashes of brilliance, most notably a a one-run, 11-strikeout complete game shutout against the Indians on September 5. This pick comes with some risk, due to his volatility, but if you're looking to take a big swing to swing some pitching categories this weekend, or propel you in a points league, playing Lopez may be a risk worth taking.
