With the 2020 MLB season rapidly approaching, it's time to begin preparation for this year's fantasy baseball drafts. Here at The Duel, we'll have you covered every step of the way.

We've already got our top 100 fantasy baseball players for the 2020 MLB season, but now we're going to take things a step further and break it down by position.

With that in mind, here are the top 10 closers for fantasy baseball in 2020.

Fantasy Baseball Closer Rankings

10. Raisel Iglesias, Cincinnati Reds

9. Taylor Rodgers, Minnesota Twins

8. Liam Hendricks, Oakland Athletics

7. Edwin Diaz, New York Mets

With a 5.59 ERA, career-worst 1.38 WHIP and 7 blown saves, there's no denying that Edwin Diaz' first year with the New York Mets was a disappointing one. A look at his underlying numbers tells us he didn't really play as poorly as it might look on the surface. His strikeout rate was 30.5 percent higher than his walk rate (coming just shy of his career 30.5 percent differential), and his 2.63 skill-interactive ERA was still a great mark. This could be a bounce-back season for Diaz.

6. Brad Hand, Cleveland Indians

5. Kenley Jansen, Los Angeles Dodgers

4. Roberto Osuna, Houston Astros

3. Aroldis Chapman, New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are tied for the MLB's highest projected win total on FanDuel Sportsbook, and that should give Aroldis Chapman plenty of save opportunities. He finished third in the majors with 37 in 2019, giving him back to back seasons with 30-plus. The 31-year-old saw a bit of a dip in velocity last year, but he still spun a great 36.2 percent strikeout rate with a 10.6 percent walk rate. Expect Chapman to once again be in contention for the most saves in the majors, and that keeps him in play as an elite fantasy closer.

2. Kirby Yates, San Diego Padres

1. Josh Hader, Milwaukee Brewers

Josh Hader tied Chapman with 37 saves in 2019, and his 138 strikeouts were by far the most among top relievers. The next highest strikeout total for a pitcher with 30-plus saves on the year was 101. Through three seasons in the bigs, Hader has a career 2.42 ERA (never posting a mark worse than 2.62 in a year), 0.85 WHIP, 44.6 percent strikeout rate and 9.2 percent walk rate. He cut his walks drastically in 2019, and he was the only pitcher in the MLB to throw 50-plus innings and to post a strikeout rate at least 40 percent higher than their walk rate.
