The St. Louis Cardinals have had a busy offseason retooling their roster in hopes of a deeper postseason run in 2023. But, that's not the only change going down in St. Louis this winter.
Longtime play-by-play announcer Dan McLaughlin left his position at Bally Sports Midwest after some off-field issues, leaving an opening for this coveted job.
Bally Sports finally found his replacement and it's a familiar name for Cardinals fans everywhere.
Chip Caray will no longer serve as a Bally Sports South broadcaster for the Atlanta Braves, and instead is taking the open role covering the Cardinals. Caray is famously the grandson of Harry Caray.
Harry, of course, is a Hall of Fame broadcaster best known for his 50+ year career covering both the Cardinals and Chicago Cubs.
According to a report from The Athletic, Chip Caray will work alongside Brad Thompson and Jim Edmonds in the booth.
