Falcons Get Great News on Julio Jones Injury Ahead of Saints Game
Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones has been limited since suffering a hamstring injury in the first half of his team's Week 11 matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Atlanta looked lost with their receiver in that game, failing to get any offense going and falling 24-9.
It appears that Jones will make his return to action in Week 13, which is great news for the team.
Jones had a solid week of practice that has him primed to suit up on Sunday.
The wideout has missed three games for the Falcons this season due to injury. He is averaging 7.3 targets, 5.6 receptions and 84.6 yards per game in the eight contests he's played in. Jones has reached over 130 yards in three games this year, including a 157-yard performance in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Falcons come into Sunday's game with positive momentum after beating the Las Vegas Raiders 43-6 last week. Jones' return should provide a boost to the Falcons' offense as they take on the Saints on Sunday, whose defense is ranked No. 2 in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metric.
Hosting their division rivals, the Falcons are only 2.5-point underdogs on Sunday.
