Now that superstar wideout Julio Jones has left the Atlanta Falcons for the Tennessee Titans, Calvin Ridley is the top wide receiver in town. The Falcons No. 1 WR had a career-best campaign in 2020, recording 1,374 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. While there's a lot of excitement to see what he can do in the 2021 NFL season, Ridley underwent offseason foot surgery, leaving people wondering if he'd be ready in time for the new campaign.

Fortunately for the team and its fans, Ridley doesn't expect to miss any training camp time. According to Scott Bair, Atlanta's digital managing editor, the 26-year-old wideout is "pretty sure" that he'll be good to go for training camp, which will begin on July 27.

The latest injury update is nothing but good news for the Falcons, especially when you consider that Ridley said he has no issues walking or getting around. When asked about whether or not he's fallen behind his teammates who've been fully participating in the OTAs, Ridley doesn't think that there's an issue.

"I did walkthroughs. You just didn't see me on the field. I'm doing regular things. I did a walk-through just before I came in here. I'm right where those guys are."

A first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Ridley has become one of QB Matt Ryan's most reliable weapons over the last three seasons. During that span, he's recorded 3,061 receiving yards and a whopping 26 touchdowns. The hope is that, even without Jones in the fold, Ridley will be able to continue and improve on those numbers as his time in Atlanta continues.

Ridley will need to have another major performance in 2021 if he wants to help the Falcons get back to playoffs for the first time since 2017. They are currently tied for the 22nd-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +5000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Needless to say, Ridley and the Falcons have a long road ahead of them.
