After a very public fumbling in their pursuit for Deshaun Watson, the Atlanta Falcons are suddenly without a starting quarterback. Matt Ryan is now with the Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta immediately signed Marcus Mariota as a potential stopgap.

But, this team is now in desperate need of a franchise player under center. That's exactly why Falcons fans will love the latest NFL Draft rumors linking the team to a potential face of the franchise.

Falcons Draft

According to NFL insider Daniel Jeremiah, the Falcons are a team "to watch" for Liberty Flames quarterback Malik Willis.

NFL Draft News

Willis shined at his recent pro day, making impressive throw after impressive throw while fully displaying his athleticism.

Atlanta is currently set for the No. 8 overall pick but sees a handful of QB-needy teams picking ahead of them, including the Houston Texans at No. 3 and the Carolina Panthers at No. 6.

Willis has all of the tools necessary to mold into a franchise quarterback. He totaled 377 completions, 5,107 passing yards and 47 touchdowns to 18 interceptions in 23 games as Liberty's starter. Willis also impressed on the ground, racking up 1,822 rushing yards and 27 TDs on 338 carries.

All eyes will be on the Falcons come April's NFL Draft as this team enters a sudden rebuild.
