The Atlanta Falcons continued their rebuild this offseason as they work toward becoming contenders again with a crucial acquisition on the offensive side of the ball. On Sunday night, the Falcons announced the signing of wideout Mack Hollins to a one-year, $2.5-million deal.

Hollins enjoyed a breakout season for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022, and many wanted him to return as the team's No. 2 receiver. Now, he will play that role in Atlanta instead. Hollins hauled in 57 catches for 690 yards and 4 touchdowns -- all career-highs for the 29-year-old despite shaky quarterback play from Derek Carr.

With second-year pro Desmond Ridder expected to lead the Falcon's offense in 2023, Hollins will serve as a veteran presence on a young pass-catching group that already features Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Jonnu Smith. Giving Ridder another weapon (and an established one at that) should only make his life easier as he tries to navigate his first full NFL season this year.
