Ezekiel Elliott has been one of the most consistent running backs in football since entering the league in 2016. The same goes for his fantasy football value, where Elliott has posted a top-five RB finish in three of his four professional seasons.
Currently coming off the board with an average draft position (ADP) of RB3, per FantasyPros, there's no reason to think Elliott will slow down now.
Ezekiel Elliott Fantasy Football Outlook
Elliott is as safe as it gets. He's averaged 353.1 opportunities (carries plus targets) over his four-year career, which is absolutely absurd. For reference, only three running backs reached at least 350 opportunities in 2019.
Those opportunities are also especially valuable in the explosive Dallas Cowboys' offense. Dallas ranked No. 1 in total yards gained (6,904) and yards per play (6.5) in 2019, finishing as the league's sixth-best scoring offense.
Zeke didn't look as explosive as he normally does last year, recording just 4 runs of 20-plus yards (he had 11 in 2018), but his holdout might've had something to do with that. Plus, he still finished as the RB3 in PPR formats, so it didn't impact him much at all.
With Mike McCarthy taking over for Jason Garrett, and CeeDee Lamb replacing Randall Cobb, Dallas' offense could be better than ever in 2019. Zeke should be in for another monster year, and he checks in at RB3 in our 2020 fantasy rankings.
