Evan Engram, the athletic tight end for the New York Giants, has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers. Along with him, fellow tight end Rhett Ellison will also miss another game.
Engram has been out since hurting his foot in the Giants' Week 9 game against the Dallas Cowboys. In eight games this season, Engram has totaled 44 catches for 467 yards and three touchdowns. His ability to stretch the field has been missed on this offense, resulting in running lanes being few and far between for Saquon Barkley.
Along with Engram, Ellison will also be out. While Ellison is not much of a fantasy producer, his run-blocking ability could also impact Barkley's rushing output.
In their absence, tight end Kaden Smith stepped up last week and is in a good position again here. Smith played 59-of-60 offensive snaps in Week 12, totaling five catches for 17 yards and a touchdown on six targets in a loss to the Chicago Bears.
Smith has a great matchup with a Green Bay Packers' defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. While he is not ranked in our Week 13 PPR rankings, he could be a viable streaming option.
